There are so many ways of saving costs when travelling. Here are a few tactics that work and that will enable you as a traveller to see the world without necessarily having to pay too much for it. To begin with some websites, have a method of tracking the price you have been quoted on before and will play on that in order for you to make a higher transaction. It is important to put yourself on incognito mode to avoid this issue. Staying in hostels is a cheaper alternative to lodging when travelling to multiple locations. You might want to take that route or an Airbnb for cheaper alternatives as well. The good thing about hostels is that they sometimes come with food and/or activities for free. There are all types of free activities that travellers can take advantage of such as site-seeing, outdoor activities and more. Depending on how long you will be travelling for, you may decide to even work at the hostel in order to make some money, whiles hopefully getting some discounts regarding amenities and lodging costs. Ensure to always book travelling plans in advance to avoid paying last minute fees. There are certain periods during the year where travelling is more expensive therefore it would not be recommended to travel during that time. It is always best to travel during the cheaper periods in order to make more savings. Cross reference multiple travel sites in order to get the best deal out of all of them. Flyer miles are such a bonus to use! Sometimes it may seem as though it takes forever for the points to accumulate but remember that little drops of water make a mighty ocean!  Take advantage of travel events and promotions! Travelling light helps to prevent extra luggage costs that certain airlines charge for extra suitcase. That1.74 Index lenses should be neatly tucked away in your backpack in order to avoid damages.  Instead of travelling with a car, try a bicycle, motorcycle or scooter. These are more efficient on gas and are even more convenient for parking. Flexibility is key, at times you may have a specific plan in mind but once you start to travel you realize that you no longer have time for these plans. Be willing and ready to change plans in order to save a buck here and there. Do extensive research before leaving your home, verify all the costs that are involved where you are travelling to, are there any airport fees? Hotel rental fees? What is the culture like? All these must be taken into consideration before taking off.
